Itinerary idea in detail
Morning hotel/airport pickup in Dar es salaam have brief explanation about your safari then start drive around 08:00 to Nyerere National Park 5-6 hours drive. You will be taking you lunch during the journey, arrive in afternoon in Selous enjoy afternoon and evening boat drive while dinner and overnight at African safari camp.
After breakfast in the morning with your lunch boxes enjoy full day game inside the National park, great animal sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting dogs and birds in the afternoon after lunch then proceed with the game drive until evening and overnight at the African safari camp.
After breakfast you will drive to Mikumi National Park via Northern Selous which is 5-6 hours driving. Whilst on safari you will see a wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day and dinner and your overnight stay at the Camp Bastian.
After breakfast from the camp enjoy afternoon and afternoon game, during afternoon return for hot lunch from the camp before proceed with afternoon and evening game drive. When you are in Mikumi you will be able to see wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants and overnight at Bastian camp.
Before breakfast we will see maasai culture for 1 hour then take a breakfast packed lunches and depart from Mikumi town drive to Ruaha national park which 6 hours via Iringa town, you will be passing though country side and have nice scenery and beautiful valleys and mountains. Overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge.
After breakfast in the morning with packed lunches drive to the park for full day game drive enjoy a nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo while dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge.
Another full day game drive with packed lunch boxes. You will spend the day discovering and exploring Ruaha National Park. You can choose the activities we prefer game drive or walking safari. The park is also known for its sable and roan antelopes, and its rich bird life. With herds of more than 10,000 elephants, vast concentrations of buffalo, gazelle and over 400 bird species. Later at 4:00 pm drive to Iringa town 2hours from the park for dinner and overnight at Zakin Hotel.
After breakfast drive to Iringa airport and take morning flight to Dar es Salaam. End of our safari.
