Itinerary idea in detail
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met by our company representative. After a brief meet and greet, you will drive towards the northern part of Kenya towards the equator to Nanyuki town. A lively town with a superb nightlife. Check in your hotel for lunch. After lunch at 3pm, drive to the Olpajeta conservancy, a privately owned conservation area home to the big 5 and only place to see chimpanzees in Kenya. Enjoy the whole afternoon game drive then return to Olpajeta Serena Sweet waters for dinner and overnight.
Depart after breakfast to the great rift valley with spectacular views of the expansive Aberdare rain forest and small scale farms in the countryside. Arrive at your hotel by the lake, check in then lunch. Depart for an afternoon boat ride in the 188km/sq fresh water lake which is rich in marine birds and hippos. You will be returned to the hotel sopa lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, proceed along the floor of the rift valley towards the south to Maasai land. There will be brief convenient stops for washroom and refresments. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. Depart for an afternoon game drive when the sun cools down. Dinner and overnight at Azure Mara Haven.
Today, you depart after breakfast to enjoy a full day of game viewing. You will have the experiencing the vast savanna grassland filled with the white-bearded gnu (wildebeest). Maasai mara is also home to the big five and a great concentration of flora and fauna.
You will visit the great mara river where you will find hippos enjoying a cool dip and crocodiles basking along the banks. Enjoy your packed lunch under a tree shade in the middle of the wilderness. Return to the lodge for relaxationg followed by dinner and overnight at Azure Mara haven.
Optional activities include ; a morning balloon ride with a champagne bush breakfast ($450 per pereson) or an afternoon visit to a Maasai Village where you get to learn the culture of this fascinating tribe ($20 per person).
After breakfast, return by road to Nairobi or if you want to continue with the game in Serengeti national park Tanzania.
