In southern Tanzania, on the north-west side of selous game reserve, lie two small, quite offbeat national parks: Mikumi national park and Udzungwa mountains national parks. Mikumi is easily accessible by road, it support large number of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck, warthog, yellow baboon, lion, hyena, antelope and many species.

Itinerary idea in detail
Depart at 7:30 a.m after breakfast from Dar es salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze with picnic lunch pack. Continue with game drive here at Mikumi we will come across lions, elands, hartebeest, buffalos, wildebeest, giraffe, zebras, elephants, wilddogs and many species of birds. Drive for overnight at bastian camp lodge. Meal plan. Full board.
Morning breakfast then proceeding with full day game drive, viewing at Mikumi national park you will see all species of animal and birds, Due to its Savannah plain animal at mikumi are easily accessed. Known as ” The Galapagos of Africa,”Udzungwa mountain is home to several culturally and historically significant sites such as magombereka cave, bokela, mwanaruvele cave, ndundulu, nyumbanitu mountains and others. Morning breakfast followed by the light game while proceeding to Udzungwa for lunch and afternoon walk along the tropical rain forest. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa falls lodge. Meal plan and full board.
After early breakfast start trekking that leads to the spectacular trails up to Sanje water falls, one of the unique features of udzungwa. Here you will get a good view of kilombero valley which is ideal for agriculture. Walk back to the lodge for hot lunch and start driving to dar es salaam hotel or lodge to end up our tour.
