Itinerary idea in detail
Pick up from airport or hotel and transfer to domestic terminal to Serengeti by coastal aviation flight, departure time for the flight is 0700 am and arrive Serengeti at 0915 am direct to game drive, later return to the camp for hot lunch and one hour rest, and depart at 1500 for afternoon game drive, to explore the Serengeti. Dinner and over night at Tortilis camp.
Today after breakfast you will drive for a full day game drive. The Serengeti is famous for its wildebeest’s migration crossing Grumeti and Mara rivers (June-August). 2.5 million Wildebeest driven by the same ancient rhythms follow their instincts on the inescapable cycle of life which includes a frenzied territorial conquest, mating, and survival of the fittest. They form a 25 mile (40km) long column, plunge through crocodile infested waters on their annual exodus north and replenish their species during a brief population explosion that produce more than 300,000 calves over a 3 week period (October-December) following their 1,200 mile (2,000 km) pilgrimage
After breakfast, you will depart to the seronera airstrip, enroute game drive, the flight from Serengeti departs at 0925 and arrive Zanzibar in the afternoon, at 1325. All depends with availability at the time of the booking.
Arrive in Zanzibar, our driver will pick you and drive you to your hotel in Dar es salaam or transfer to Terminal 2 for your flight back home.
