Nyerere National Park formally known as Selous Game Reserve is Africa’s largest and oldest game reserve. The Selous’ beauty of the park is matched by the quality of a safari with its widest diversity of safari activities, Nyerere Park covers 50,000 square km and its among the largest protected area in Africa and relatively undisturbed by humans, Selous is rich in elephant, cheetah, giraffe, hippos and crocodile, and many other species. You’ll start from Dar es Salaam at 4:30 AM!

Itinerary idea in detail
At 4:30 AM, our driver will drive you from your hotel to Nyerere National Park for 4 hours from Dar es Salaam, on arrival enjoy a full-day game drive by a modified safari vehicle with a professional guide gaze at great animals collection including all the great favorites including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and all the other major species including the rare African hunting dog. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains.
In the afternoon, eat your packed lunch with few minutes rest and advance with game drive to 04:30 PM then be prepared for a Safari back to Dar es Salaam at a hotel. You will be in Dar es Salaam at 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM depending on the traffic jam.
